PSYOPUS Announces New Bassist

September 13, 2007

Rochester, NY-based tech grindcore/hardcore outfit PSYOPUS has issued the following update:

"We here at the PSYOPUS camp are happy to announce that we have found our new bass player in the form of Michael Horn. He is a 24-year-old freak of nature from just outside of the Washington D.C. area. He graduated from The Shenandoah Conservatory with a degree in Arts Management with a minor in jazz bass along side two years of classical bass training at the institution. He will now be being institutionalized into the PSYOPUS school of music along side the relatively new talent in the form of University of Buffalo's Percussion Major, Buffalo, NY's own Jason Bauers, and the acid fucked persona of THE JEFFERSON PLANE CRASH's vocalist, Fredericksburg, VA's own Harrison Christie."

The promisingly revamped PSYOPUS lineup will be showcased on the road coming this November. The band has four dates in the Northeast United States area supporting Japan's own noise rockers MELT BANANA.

PSYOPUS's latest album, "Our Puzzling Encounters Considered", was released in February via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at Watchmen Studios in Lockport, NY with producer Doug White.
